Senator Husted was interviewed on WFIN Findlay Radio on July 31, 2025. In talking about his support for the so-called Big Beautiful Bill, he spread misinformation about the national debt, taxes, cutting USAID, and NPR. Like Gov. DeWine, Lt. Gov. Husted (before he was appointed to the Senate) denies knowing that House Bill 6 was a bribe.

As Lieutenant Governor, Jon Husted was called the "Golden Boy for First Energy." He actively lobbied for the bailout of House Bill 6, which became the "largest bribery, money laundering scheme ever perpetrated against the people of Ohio." Husted has not been charged and he denies any wrongdoing, From October 2019 through August 2025, AEP Ohio customers paid up to $30 more per year due to HB 6. Refunds have not been issued.

No one in Ohio has avoided accountability more than Jon Husted, now running to keep his seat in the Senate. David Pepper reminds us of Husted’s record as a long-time state official.

Less than a week after ICE agent Jonathan Ross fatally shot Minneapolis mother Renee Good, Senator Husted toed the Trump/Noem line when he said "ICE agents are moms and dads...they're part of law enforcement...to keep people safe."
