Vice president-elect JD Vance unwittingly showed how much the lawless MAGA world is in charge by his near immediate flip-flop on whether or not Trump will pardon violent January 6 offenders.

He started out the day on Fox News, saying that “[i]f you committed violence on that day, obviously you shouldn’t be pardoned.”

Amid an instant backlash to this so-called “betrayal,” Vance immediately walked back his comments: “I’ve been defending these guys for years…I assure you, we care about people unjustly locked up. Yes, that includes people provoked and it includes people who got a garbage trial.”
