After the failed attempt to place a referendum on the November ballot to let voters decide if S.B. 1 should be enacted, it went into effect on June 27th. The "Advance Ohio Higher Education Act" bans diversity initiatives at public universities, forbids faculty from striking, and gives politicians control over classroom content.
