Husted's Name Has Come Up Over 100 Times in First Energy Bribery Trial

When Senator Jon Husted was Lieutenant Governor, he was called the "Golden Boy for First Energy." He actively lobbied for the bailout of House Bill 6, which became the "largest bribery, money laundering scheme ever perpetrated against the people of Ohio." Husted has not been charged and he denies any wrongdoing, From October 2019 through August 2025, AEP Ohio customers paid up to $30 more per year due to HB 6. Refunds have not been issued.
